Sports car 'has great features'

A new sports car is to be released by Nissan as it looks to offset the consumer movement towards European brands.

The fresh version of the GT-R model has a number of improved features, such as 3.8-litre engine, reports the International Herald Tribune.

Such a product will aim to entice customers back from imports such as Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin.

In Japan as a whole, sales of cars are in decline, with a fall reported in all but one of the last 27 months, the Japan Automobile Association claimed.

One car-lover, Ryuhei Sukegawa, a physician who is 45, told the publication that other car-makers have an emphasis on style.

"European sports cars have a sophistication, tradition and style that Japanese makers don't have," he said.

Nissan released details of the new car as part of the Tokyo Motor Show earlier this week, with domestic sales likely to begin later in the year.

According to the firm, this is an important time for the automotive industry, as environmentally-friendly products are needed.

There are other sports car experiences available from Red Letter Days for those with a desire for fast speeds.

The Nissan sports car may now have the stle and sophistication that consumers see in European cars. With that kind of features, driving the new Nissan sports car will give the driver more pride and will feel the need for speed as he parades his car.
