Lexus IS 250C

From July admirers of open cars can get the Lexus IS 250C Coupe-Convertible. Lexus is known for the conservatism in a model lineup has presented the newest model coupe-cabriolet Lexus IS 250C at the Paris Motor Show 2008. It is the second cabriolet in Lexus line after SC430. The new IS 250c combines the sporting elegance of the IS sedan with superlative engineering ingenuity to create a unique fusion of top-down driving pleasure and uncompromised closed-top dynamic performance in the premium sedan segment.

There are only a few details remained from IS sedan version in new model they are a cowl, hood headlamps, door handles and mirrors, and all other elements of the car body have been adapted according to outlines of a threefold collapsible roof. The first ever drop-top IS features a three-part roof constructed entirely in lightweight aluminum and it's the fastest of its kind with an opening time of just 20 seconds. Ultra-compact roof design ensures large boot space and generous accommodation for rear seat passengers. The car is equipped with the IS 250's 208 HP 2.5-liter V6 engine hooked up with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new Lexus convertible has been styled to offer minimal wind turbulence when driving with the hard top stowed. The IS 250C's new exterior design provides dynamic, unique styling when interchanging between convertible and coupe configurations. The interior maintains the innovation and luxury touch points associated with the IS sport sedans, while new comfort and entertainment features provide a consistent atmosphere regardless of top configuration. Enhanced torsion stiffness, with noise and vibration levels on a par with IS saloon. Also, about the safety, the IS 250C has been designed to achieve a five-star frontal impact rating in Euro NCAP crash testing, with world-class safety performance in both coupe and convertible configuration.
