Four Ways to Lower Your Auto Insurance

With the rising costs in expenses, especially through insurance expenses like auto insurance, many consumers are seeking methods that can be used to reduce the overall costs of their auto insurance premiums to make the most of the prices which are paid on an annual or monthly basis for auto insurance coverage. Makingcar insurance comparisons is an effective way to find the lowest car insurance premiums.

Here are some other methods that every consumer can use to lower their auto insurance premiums:

1. Keep the driving record clean. While keeping the driving record clean, individuals can ensure that they are able to maintain the best rates possible. Accidents and tickets, as well as other incidents increase the risk profile that is associated with the consumer and therefore increases the potential for the consumer to take advantage of auto insurance claims. With the decreased risks come decreased rate which are charged to the consumer – a simple and effective way to not only lower the auto insurance premiums, but to stay safe while driving.

2. Enroll in a defensive driving course. Studies have shown that drivers that have completed defensive driving as well as other types of courses are effective drivers and come with a reduced risk to the insurance company. These courses can lower the auto insurance rates by upwards of fifteen percent throughout the premiums.

3. Bundle your insurance services to receive the best deals on auto insurance. Consumers that bundle home insurance, auto insurance and even life insurance can save upwards of fifteen percent from the entire costs of all insurance premiums which are paid on an annual or on a monthly basis. As these consumers are considered loyal to one company, these discounts are often referred to as loyalty discounts and can be used to save money for each of the premiums that are held with the insurance company. Look for a versatile insurance company that offers multiple policy types in order to take advantage of services like these.

4. Look for an auto insurance company that is willing to match competitive rates from other companies. This is an effective way to ensure that you are saving the most for your auto insurance. Through programs that offer to price match and even give better prices than the competitor, you can be sure that you are saving as much as possible with your auto insurance.

Taking these aspects into account while preparing to change car insurance policies or shop for new cheap auto insurance policies can be an effective way to gain the best rates and ensure that you are paying an appropriate rate for your auto insurance.

Porshe High Class

Porsche’s new president and CEO, Michael Macht, anounced that the company is considering an electric-powered sports car that would meet the high demands of the Porsche brand. “I am also convinced that one day Porsche will have an electric sports car in its line-up,” said Macht at the company’s press conference.

“An electric sports car would therefore only make sense for Porsche if it offers performance and a cruising range similar to that of current sports cars in the market,” he said. “We are therefore taking the first step in this direction with a full hybrid – in the Cayenne, the Panamera and maybe in the not too distant future also in a racing car or a production 911. Why not?”

The highly anticipated Panamera represents Porsche’s fourth model line and is the brand’s first-ever four-door sports car. It goes on sale in the U.S. on October 17, 2009. “Although the car has only been at the dealership for three days, we already have 4,500 orders for the Panamera, most of them from customers who have not even seen the car yet,” he said Macht. “And since test drives for customers have only just started, sales of the Panamera are already making a very positive start.”

Dacia Sandero Stepway

Renault is updating its Sandero lineup with the Sandero Stepway SUV, after launching the Dacia Sandero LPG Hatchback brand there. Sandero (branded as a Dacia in Europe, Northern Africa, Middle East) has been quite successful in south America. The Sandero Stepway 4x4 SUV has a 1.6-litre 112 bhp 16 valve engine, the Hi-Flex one with bio-ethanol abilities. At 112 ponies it is Renault’s most powerful bio-ethanol powerplant.

Dacia Sandero Stepway has a success with its sibling, Sandero, namely unrivalled cabin space for its price (it comfortably seats five tall adults, plus a 320dm3 VDA boot), as well as the model's widelyacclaimed impeccable reliability. This car will be available with either 1.6 90hp petrol or dCi 70 diesel power. It is manufactured at the brand's ISO 14001-certified plant in Pitesti, Romania. More than five per cent of the plastics it contains are sourced from recycling and the car is 95 per cent end-of-life recoverable. This, combined with Dacia Sandero Stepway dCi 70's CO2 emissions rating of just 140g/km make it eligible for the Dacia eco² signature.

Panamera Sedan 2010

It was expected that Porsche’s Panamera sedan will be produced at Geneva auto show last year but till today Porsche still has come to nothing more than just releasing photos of its new creation. At last an official unveiling of Panamera happened today at the 13th Auto Show in Shanghai.

Hummer H2 will be closed

It's expected that General Motors's vehicle Hummer H2 will be closed for at least an additional 15 weeks beyond that.

Responding to rumors that the assembly line has been permanently dismantled, Craig MacNab, a spokesperson for AM General, the company that operates the facility for General Motors, says the plant is intact and ready to restart production when and if they get the word from GM, Fox News reports.

A Hummer spokesperson would not confirm the exact details of the length of the closure, but said, "we will produce more when we get more dealer orders."

A target for critics because of its low fuel economy, H2 sales were down more than 50 percent in 2008, Fox News reports, with just 374 units sold in December of last year. The Hummer brand is currently under review by General Motors as part of the company's restructuring plan spurred on by the recent government bailout and is reportedly being considered for sale or elimination.

Two hundred employees were affected by the shutdown, but MacNab says AM General is in the process of transferring them to a neighboring plant that builds the military-spec Humvee for the U.S. and foreign military outfits, rather than allowing them to be laid off indefinitely. Fifty workers already have found new positions helping build 80 of the off-road vehicles each day.

St. Valentine's Day is on the way

Another season of gifts and different pleasant present is about to begin. It is always better to get ready for such occasions in advance. In this article we'll discuss possible gifts for your beloved.

We all know how difficult it is to find something special, beautiful and not too expensive for those who we love and always think of. There are lots of good and high quality things but not many of us can afford to buy them.

So, if you both love cruiser bicycles it shouldn't be a problem. There exist a whole lot of different accessories that can be used either for convenience or for safety.

Let's take retro style bell as an example of a good St. Valentine's gift. Your gift shouldn't be huge and too expensive. This day used to be celebrated by sending valentines to each other, and often people didn't know who the card was from. But if you know each other for a couple of years, there's no need in doing this. That bell or a bike basket will be enough. Especially if your interests are the same!

Show your partner that you care and are interested in him or her. And don't forget to buy a good gift!

The fact is we live in an epoch when the most bold ideas and hypnotizes of any kind of fantasts might be turning into reality. We had been be a witnesses the appearance of computers, robots, mobile communication, and autos we even could not dream 20 or 30 years ago.

Here's another one invention from the world of unlimited conceptual design: the Cadillac World Thorium Fuel concept, also known as the Cadillac WTF. The main peculiarity of this car of the future is a nuclear fuel powering batteries that would power the car. It’s interesting that the car has 24 wheels and each wheel has its own induction motor. "The vehicle would require the tires to be adjusted every five years, but no material would need to be added or subtracted." says creator of the phenomena, Loren Kulesus.

It looks great, but I have a question. What one should do in case of such car collisions, I mean nuclear reactor (or generator) that is there, at the back:-) of the vehicle?

1937 Bugatti

Rare 1937 Bugatti found locked in garage could fetch millions of dollars today, NEWCASTLE reports.

The owner, Dr. Harold Carr 1937bought the Bugatti, won the 1937 Le Mans 24-hour race, in 1955.

Mr. Carr lives near Newcastle, had no children and the cars now belong to his nieces and nephews. Other people did know about the Bugatti, said a nephew who did not want his name used.

"We just can't believe it," he said. "It's amazing, really. It's worth so much because he hasn't used it for 50 years. People must have known because he got letters from all over the country. He got notes pushed through his door. People traveled to try and convince him to sell the car."
