Alfa Romeo Giulia

The main personage of classic French film “Les Choses de la vie” (1970), successful but sensitive architect Paul has no particular problems in his life but moral dashing between his wife and mistress. Which sort of auto could drive such man? Certainly it is a car with romantic name Alfa Romeo Giulia.

YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 1962-1976
ENGINE: 4 cylinders in line
ENGINE CAPACITY: 1570 cc
POWER OUTPUT: 98-102 bhp at 5500 rpm.
TOP SPEED: over 165 Km/hr
What does Paul do with his car? He clears up his terms with mistress and wife, both of whom he dearly loves, smokes a lot and at the end injures in an automobile accident just after he had made marriage proposition to one of them.
Without any flattery one can say that the best movie crash was shot by French filmmaker Claude Sautet in this movie. Creators of “New Wave ” in cinematograph took a great on improvisation and one creates the impression that Sautet had been such reveled of beauty of shots that he could hardly select the best ones. During 5 days of shooting the crash were smashed to smithereens two cars Alfa Romeo.
The Film was remade in 1994 as “Investigator” by Mark Rydell, but I have not seen and not sure I will and dont ask me why
